Take Responsibility

We have learned the importance of eating right, exercise and supplementation for the improvement of heart, diabetes and cholesterol disease. It is being proven through many scientific studies that the same is true for the postponement of Alzheimer's. Doesn't it make sense that we all become proactive towards this disease that will affect seven of every 100 people over the age of 65? Sadly, in most circumstances, the signs of Alzheimer's occur when the disease has already passed the mild stage. By then all doctors can do is treat the symptoms. Doesn't it make sense to begin a program for all the members of your family... no matter what the ages ... that could delay what might be the inevitable? Wouldn't you rather have the possibility that, instead of developing the disease at 65 (10% of people over the age of 65 develop the disease), you prolong your brain health and possibly not have signs until 75 or even 85! Wouldn't it make sense to offer your children and their children the possibility of a healthy brain well into their 80's? Debra also wants to be a source for families whose questions are not being answered . . . the "Why?," the "When?," the "Who?," and the "NOW WHAT?" that accompanies Alzheimer's.
